The Little House Play House

Our two little ones were so incredibly lucky at Christmas to receive a beautiful combined gift from our families of this divine playhouse from HipKids Australia.

Chosen and painted to look just like our real home, the playhouse provides an outdoor safe place to play, where the children's toy kitchen and bits and bobs are stored. As our house is so small (but so very loved) our playhouse requirement was that it could be safe and water tight for these big toys (so they could be removed from my lounge room ha!). It sits on a custom built platform on our renovated and astro turfed front deck. It is gated from street access and sits below the footpath view line (you can see the footpath is behind the playhouse).

My amazing parents spent a week painting the house (undercoat, and two fiddly top coats) and then dad and hubby put it together. It gets LOADS of use especially from little miss Neavie but I have to note, that just last week it was quickly turned into the 'Batcave' with the addition of a black sheet and two rambunctious boys!

Easter lovelies

Now that the big four year old's birthday party is done and dusted, on to Easter! Just a few more sleeps until the bunny hops his way into our garden and leaves some sweet surprises for our two little bunnies.

I found this quite hard! There are so many 'bunny' items around for Easter but Cally is growing out of that sort of stage. When I found the Egg and Spoon race kit, I thought this would be perfect coming from the Easter Bunny - on theme and something that he would love. Anyone who knows our little boy knows his obsession with socks. An odd one but he loves running around the house in undies and socks like a 'superhero' apparently! These super bunny socks from Seed are just perfect!

This one I found a little easier. The gorgeous Maileg bunnies are heriloom quality toys that are simple, beautiful and very popular with Neavie. She has a micro bunny but I am excited to add this one to her collection. I ordered it from Pip and Sox and it was delivered within three days!
The Oestheimer wooden animal collection is really sweet! This standing fawn is the start of 'our' collection but I think it will be on the shelf in our lounge room because it is so beautiful.
