Chosen and painted to look just like our real home, the playhouse provides an outdoor safe place to play, where the children's toy kitchen and bits and bobs are stored. As our house is so small (but so very loved) our playhouse requirement was that it could be safe and water tight for these big toys (so they could be removed from my lounge room ha!). It sits on a custom built platform on our renovated and astro turfed front deck. It is gated from street access and sits below the footpath view line (you can see the footpath is behind the playhouse).
My amazing parents spent a week painting the house (undercoat, and two fiddly top coats) and then dad and hubby put it together. It gets LOADS of use especially from little miss Neavie but I have to note, that just last week it was quickly turned into the 'Batcave' with the addition of a black sheet and two rambunctious boys!
